No, not that baby--s/he needs to cook just a bit longer!
For some time, my internet time has looked like this:
First, spend about 10 minutes kicking the older kids off the computer. This may take longer if they are watching a PBS full length show they just *have* to finish right now.
Then find a way to distract E so I can use the computer.
Sit down on my pilates ball-after wresting it from the younger kids.
Log onto all the accounts that have been logged out of some how. Begin checking e-mail and doing the net searching I need to do.
Pull E off the computer desk.
Pull E off of me.
Get several good things found and pull E away from the power button.
E turns off computer tower.
Give up in frustration.
But
I have a wonderful husband who felt sorry for me. So last night we went and got this beauty
So now I can check email and everything from my so far so safe kitchen counter!

LOL, it's probably a good thing you've got a belly now and will have a baby soon, because otherwise you'd take it into the bathrom with you. Trust me, I never planned to, but somehow once you get a laptop it's oh so tempting to take it everywhere...and that's a dangerous thing!
I miss my desktop actually.
I love my laptop! We are getting new ones soon (if Dell ever hurries up!) as this one is so close to death I'm praying it lasts me for work until the new one gets here. I don't know what I'd do without it.
I love, love, love my laptop. My husband surprised me with one of those little laptops AND it's pink!
I really wanted the lavender one. It was so cute. And cheaper! But C didn't stand a chance of typing on it. Since he wants to use it too for his photo stuff from time to time, we got the black one. But it's all good. :)
yay for you!!!!
a word of warning, be CAREFUL about the power cord. I am currently typing on an ancient desktop. Why, you may ask? Because I have not onw, but two laptops needing new power jacks because the kids (*ahem) have tripped over the cord on the laptops. I need to get them fixed I suppose. Sigh.
how are you feeling?
Molly, all things considered, I feel pretty good. Just bending over kills me. Which wouldn't be such a problem if I didn't have kids leaving stuff all over the floor.
And the kids are the very reason we went ahead and bought the extra warranty Geek Squad protection!
